I think scrutiny is quite an important thing though, people should, in my mind, be held accountable for their actions especially when they're supposed to be working for us.

As for media intrusion, I suppose it depends on who the 'media' company is and whether or not things they are reporting are in the public interest. I couldn't give two hoots which MP is banging who, what, why, or where, I do genuinely feel though that MPs' half-truths and incompetence should reported on. I wouldn't employ an incompetent liar in my business, but then again, I didn't get where I am today.

There is genuine scrutiny based upon performance and then there is what we see nowadays ie saturation media attacks and intrusion into every aspect of an individual’s private life as and when they deem it suitable, it benefits no one the level to which MSM has dropped or the tactics they use.

Really? Maybe don’t be a lying hypocrite, conduct yourself with a modicum of decency and you’ll be ok, too much to ask for Boris it seemed.

Yeah really Mick if I said shit you’d say sugar, lying hypocrite???? Which PM is that you are referring too ?? They all can easily be tarred with that brush as far as I can remember. My point was aimed at the role itself not at  any particular previous PM.

Stop reading the MSM then, problem solved.

I did read it, in the same context read the post you are being a smart arse about, I’m on about the role in general not any particular individual hence the comment “ whom in their right mind “

TV, Radio, Social Media, Papers etc etc

You know fine well how it works Mark

Yup, I've seen and historically been involved in all that clatter.
None of this is new to me and the patterns are predictable. It really isn't rocket science.
Just disengage from it all, maybe read a book or something instead as it's not doing you any favours getting wound up over things you can't change on the internet etc. Have a laugh about it or submit to a life of misdirected rage.

No you don’t have to worry yourself about a list, You had a bad day or something?? Seems you are in full on arse mode tonight, I stand by what I said “ whom in their right mind “ would want to put themselves  and families in that position and the level of scrutiny that comes with it, I know I certainly wouldn’t. Number and current standard of MPs vs current population 🤔 I wouldn’t say it’s attracting loads or even lots  of the right people at all.
