We have had a ridiculous amount of flies in the house this summer and I got fed up with em in the end .

Don't like spraying chemicals all over the place and fly papers just seem dirty , and not completely effective.

Insectocutor is brilliant though.

£70 is not cheap , but we are virtually free of pests .

We had one in the kitchen of the pub I worked in as a teenage skivvy. Flies made a quick bzzzt, on the summer evenings when it was hot and we had a window open, moths and crane flies really lit the place up.

Try this rentokil pen available from most hardware stores just run it around the edges of every window the smear nearly disappears in a few hours

but the saying " drops like flies" rings true

Might try that too Shavey. Don't really need it now though I suppose.

The old way was to mash up a fly agaric mushroom with some milk in a bowl, sprinkle with sugar and leave on the windowsill. I have often wished windows came with a slight camber outward and upward, with a small hole at the top to allow the flies and wasps to escape, as they always seem to be trying to.
