Had to share this with fellow members-

Had a guy ring today wanting to borrow firewood and then give it back..

Thats fair enough have had Sainsburys borrow wood for their Christmas catalogue photo shoot last November,so I was thinking along the same lines for this guy.

However when asked what he wanted it for he said to "burn corpses",when I am done with it I will return as charcoal!!!

Total fruitcake-anyones views appreciated!!

Ha! On 3 occasions when I've been running my retort kiln I've been approached by people who stared at it for minute then ask if you could put a body in there!?! Seriously hard to tell if they were joking. Plenty of nutters out there!

Got a guy locally who does the cremations for local vets, following some deer culling we took the offal for him to incinerate, when we opened the door to the oven to dispose of said waste we were met with the front end of a donkey!!!! Apparently it was too big to go in one sitting so he took a chain saw to it...... Wonder what chain he used semi chisel perhaps!

In a former life I was asked to provide some firewood for a TV production which was being filmed locally. This turned out to be the League of Gentleman and the fire was used to cremate a policeman. I think it was in one of the first episodes. I dropped the firewood off, and a week or so later picked up what remained, of the firewood that is.

I imagine the only real contribution would be the skeleton but it would preserve it from decay, think of it as your little contribution to combating excess atmospheric CO2
