I think I've just worked out where you're going wrong with your picture posting...!

 

You need to use the 'Manage Attachments' option under 'Post Reply' to upload the image onto the server.

 

I think you've been pasting the address of the image on your HD from 'right-click-properties' on your PC into the image link dialogue on here....
