Nice buy Stevie, handy toy, I bet you wish you had it a few weeks ago. I wish mine was as high up as that, it'll be a good machine in the woods.

it would of been great on my last job for sure mate, but hey ho. it is a big lump tbh, the pic doesnt really do it justice, it weighs 3 ton. the winch unbolts, i am going to try and put some lifting arms on the back, the pto has a 1000 speed and 540. so a little chipper could go on the back. but i will get it and have a play first

i only took 1 pic Matty, i dont get it till next week. I am like you mate, trying to do something with firewood and enjoy the woodland experience as well. i spent a week wrestling trees with my mini digger which was a pita and then last week with a big john deere that wasnt mine, now i am going to have a great laugh with the right bit of kit

fair play steve,I really fancy some thing like that my self ! dont think you can go wrong with harvesting timber at the minute ,looks a cool bit of kit though and cant wait for the pics and vids when your at the controls.

You need a winch though, no doubt about it..makes life so easy ,not just with extracting but with hung up tree's and when felling 50ft+ thinnings that is going to happen quite a bit!

My grandparents Leyland 384, cultivating family garden and my slight mishap going out the gate :blushing:. My granddad brought the tractor in 1980 and has performed well over the years with only 1 engine rebuild.

ha ha, what did you do mate? catch it with the corner of the impliment?

Put a new gate in the garden last year, made it really tight getting out. Then forgot about implement swing round. Still fence was going to be replaced anyway, well thats my story.
