If the pump is blocked due to sawdust etc then yes it isnt a warranty problem and its your wrong doing (no offense its just the way Im wording it)

If the pump has failed due to a manufacturing defect then sure it will be replaced under warranty.

Cheers sir.

I'll have a look tomorrow.

Doesn't like like rocket science to get at it and I guess if it can't do it I'll throw it into the dealer.

Getting the clutch off is the hardest thing. Lots of sharp whacks while the plug and decompressor are doing their job or an impact wrench help.

There have been some changes on the oil pump but I think that has been over twelve months ago so might not affect your one. If it is a dodgy pump then make sure you do get a warranty claim out of it as they arent that cheap of an item and you will need to replace the worm gear too.

I'm using compressed air frequently to clean our 550XPG. Once we've experienced a plugged oil pump, caused by blowing debris into the feeder part. Removing and cleaning the entire pump parts fixed the problem.

Hint:

Removing the clutch is much easier, if the saw is warmed up first.

Cheers, I think a full strip and blow through can't hurt.

So with the 550 needing a remap at the dealers the 560 is now not oiling and preening chains. 😒

Cleaned bar groove and hole, put some fuel into the oil tank to clean filter and tried bio and normal oil.

Just burnt an 18 and 15" chain straight out the box 😔

Now down to the 372 beast but hey it doesn't have auto tune and is running right.

What is an older husky without auto tune like? I'm guessing 346xp is similar?

You're only hateing your saws because you bought the wrong ones , stihl every time !
