woodchipper and stumpy on a tipper trailer

Do you mean a bar on the top of the high mesh kit? If so, my meshkit I bought brand new 3 months ago doesn't have one, so no, you don't need one. I would like to get one though as I quite often put fence posts up on top of it.

I brought a 10x5 ifor Williams tipper a few months ago, and carry a timberwolf 150 tracked on it every day...

 

I don't know your stump grinder size, but it can feel a bit top heavy with my chipper on due to the higher bed height, something to be aware of.

 

Also the bar going across the top doesn't seem to be necessary, at least I took mine off the day I brought it and the trailers still in one piece!

We often take both our stump grinders on the tipper trailer. I am sure there would be room for a chipper and the HB20.

Would have to work this out, but I guess stump grinder is under 400kg and chipper around 1400kg

 

not sure of unladen weight of trailer - about 1000kg with mesh kit (was actually thinking of the solid sides option) and ramps?

 

so should leave some leaway?

 

good news on the bar - even if it can be taken on and off, at least I now know its not going to peal apart the moment I remove it.

The metal cross bar helps stop the sides flapping about when unladen as much, and stops them bowing out when full, 10 seconds to remove it though. fwiw Id defiantly go solid sides and get the aluminum ramps
