Its interesting how people still percieve the yank trucks as really big. Yes the F450 is large but the current Amarok and Hilux for example are getting towards american sizes and are sold there.

But the Amarok only has a food mixer engine in it. Plastic EU underpowered under engineered crap!

My mum just bought a Citroen DS3 sport, I thought it looked a nice car until she told me it has a 1.1 engine 🙄

Would something like that fall into the 3500kg-7000kg weight class? Be amazed it its kerb weight was less that 3499kg.

 

Give you a example, a 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 with a 5.9 Cummins engine , 4 wheel drive and short bed with king Cab weighs in at just under 3500kg , put a driver in and full tank of juice over the limit .

My F350 Superduty is down rated here from 5 to 3.5 ton and weighs 2800 full of juice has mine is a lighter petrol engine but it still has Heavy duty axles running 8 studs axles . You will not see many Yank tanks over here running at there full capacity.
