Great answers and ideas guys thanks.Part of the problem is i rarely get the same groundie to work with so its starting from scratch each time.As you've all commented it takes experience and time to get to know the system,how many wraps,letting it run etc.

Ive asked to bring my own guy in but got fobbed off.

Take 10 minutes of your/their time to explain/show what dynamic lowering means. It we be well invested. And make sure you show more than one person.

What weight can you handle with that

Youd bee surprised! I made a video using it the first time, but it got lost on a corrupt computer. We were confidently taking 3-4 times the amount 1 guy could hold alone by hand. Obviously nothing huge, or trunk wood, but for standard duty rigging purposes it works. Also the climber can take a hold of the rope freeing up the groundsman. Shame I lost that video, it showed what was capable of the rnw.

Ive just watched Kevin Bingam on Youtube and the rig and wrench system looks great for lowering branches/limbs but am i wrong in thinking its no use for chogging down stems?

Yeh as I said its not for big wood. But neg rigging trunk wood is possible.... just dont go big!
