Used it on a big oak today using cougar blue. It was brilliant. Better than the orange. And because it was big and needing several different TIP's, I used DDRT just as much as SRT and it worked really well for both.

It's definitely brilliant!! 🙂

Not really a fair test today. Small Eucalyptus in freezing fog and rain.

Kernmaster, zero sit back, very impressive. A little jerky but overall I think it will be very good!👍🏻 need to fine tune the settings now.

Fair enough Al, I hadn't considered that.

I'm struggling to choose between the BDB and Akimbo.

Think the Bone has the edge for me so far.

I'd recommend getting both Joe.

Then once you've lost your temper with one of them, I'll buy it at a knockdown price.

Brilliant!

dont like all this talk of what rope it does or dosent like , which colour it prefers, id rather hope that after buying it it will work with the rope in my bag ( my only one):001_tt2:

Hopefully it will do, its adjustable to different ropes and the inventor is still trying to improve it.

All climbing devices work differently with different rope. But as said, its adjustable in less than 30 seconds whilst up the tree. That's the point being made really.

The instructions that came with the GoFundMe Akimbo say " for use on ropes of firm construction from 11mm to 12mm ". This it will do. However, as with any other rope tool it will have some performance changes not only with different settings but with different ropes, conditions and climber weights. Experimenting with different ropes is not mandatory as it will work but if you are after the ultimate in performance, you will need to do your part.
