Funny, the only time I have seen it done or heard about it being done, the trees always gone the wrong way.:sneaky2:

the cut is used for slight lean backs and for them school boy errors of forgetting your wedges. tbh never used the cut in 6 year since doing the course.:001_smile: ow and you use a breaking bar for lever.

Well done! I'm busy trying to get the practice in before retaking it myself. It was a complete waste of time and money to take the assessment straight after doing the course, and I don't know why they do it that way. :confused1:

Hi there I know what you mean its CS30/31 combined a very short course to to gain the level expected on the test you have in effect 5 days to lean master and refine all the maintance and felling cuts . I did my first course combined but did not book the 30 test till a couple of monts later giving me time to really learn and pratice the maintance side and lean all the questions .

After taking the CS30 test I then concentrated on the felling side and did as much felling as I could in the monts after then I just did a second course just for the 31 part and the 31 test stright after .

The second course really helped me refine the basic skills I leaned in the fist course after I had worked been practising on the felling side . Had I of taken my tests stright after my first course I would of never made it but I am not a fast learner.
