The Echo and Dolmar clowns are out as usual, but the brands' saws doesn't become competitive anyway, and likely never will.

 

They can't become competitive when there so unbalanced and heavy and unreliable :lol::lol:

Buy an older 261, got a 2011 model awhile back and its an absolute dream..no issues

 

Second that or even a 260 beefed up a bit...trouble is the older 261,s are so hard to find and seem to hold there money....can't comment on what would be its equal as use only stihl and nothing else.

:biggrin: So are you apparently, and some times I wonder if you actually have a horse in the race....

 

There are lots of people that want the cheaper alternatives (or otherwise underdogs) to be just as good (or better than) the major brand options, but the fact is that it very seldom is the case - and it certainly isn't with 50 and 60cc pro class chainsaws.
