it has a lot of resin/pitch which will spit and cause creosote IF its not well seasoned, but seasoned properly its good.

Unfortunately, you may well do. Lots of people lap up what they hear about only burning hardwood when well seasoned softwood is perfectly good.

No problem with burning it. The problem tends to be the sap that comes out under the bark, very sticky and hard to get off hands.

Old man Pine in NZ fetches a premium as firewood. Way better than plantation pine.

The hard wood snobs. The ones that say monty cyps doesn't burn
