This may have been covered before, but couldn't find the thread - but has anyone experience of having a 150 climbing saw ported ?

You always seem to be waiting for the saw even with a perfect chain.

I though it a good idea to ask for worksite views here before running it past Spud.

I know Spud has ported the 150 for a guy on here. Apparently it's a good mod.

It's either port the 150 or go down the Echo route, and I definitely have not heard of spud porting the Echo model comparable with the 150.

I've just bought the echo. It'll be in spuds hands at some point to remove the cat and mod the exhaust.

How's the size/weight compare to the 150 Joe?

I really fancy one running an 8" bar.

You'll have to ask RobD who is boxing it up to ship to me.

On paper it's 300grams lighter than the 150. I bought one with the stihl B&C on it so it's a level playing field.

I'm not sure if they do an 8" sprocket nose bar. I use a 10" 150 at work though and I wouldn't want a much smaller bar than that.
