Carabiner safeguard

Good idea, mine is always moving around and being a pain in the ass. I only use a rope strop, but used a mates wire strop the other day and he had a soft link between the rope grab and carabiner and I found this slightly easier to use

I thought best practise was to have a cut away strap between the carabiner and the rope grab when using a wire core anyway???

This allows for an easier rescue and also deals with the problem described (which is a PITA)

it is best practice Image trying to cut a flip line !!! if you ever have to rescue someone without a cut away strap it makes the rescue a lot harder as there will be alot of pressure on the system and you will have to unhook them they may actually be out cold and thats a dead weight up a tree and some of you guys are damn heavy !!!!
