Thanks Al, I seem to vaguely remember it having a specific name as it was attached by a small root like structure, as can just about be made out in the pics where the darker wood is, I think David Humfries had one on his desk and was posting about them, but I can't find the thread for looking.

 

I might chuck it on the lathe myself if I can think of a good use, maybe a ball would be fun.:001_smile:
