hi people had this saw a while got it from a customer i did some work for unfortunately her husband is in the mid stages of Alzheimer and felt he was not capable to using it safely any more so passed it onto me i would be grateful if anyone could id it in case of future repairs etc thanks in advance .

yeah, looks like the farm boss 038 AV, great saw, they don't make them like that anymore.

Is there any way of finding out if its 038av super or may from the pics?

Check serial numbers and cross reference them with stihl online services....???

 

Ive got a 038av and ive only ran a 20inch bar on it but im sure it could go up a couple of inches if its still pulling well
