I know you have mentioned about looking forward to trying out the Akimbo James....but i would urge you to get yourself a ZigZag 3.....it will out perform the HC on every level....on a side note, i never thought we would ever be talking about such things 20 years ago.Remember the first time we climbed on three strand creating everything with one rope. How time has flown my old friend.

I did nearly have "sod it" moment on a zig-zag when I ordered - but a swift look at the bank balance swayed me back :blushing:

I'll have a shift around tomorrow and see what I can improve without melting the bankcard again - should be a nice day and I've been wanting to get up this ash since I was a kid

How many times have you told the new guys about our terrible workplace situations. 👍😀

Seriously, I can't be arsed with a zig zag anymore. I'm SRT and once in a hundred might double rope out of the tree. I think the Zig Zag is great. I doubt the 3 is any better than the 1 but I haven't used it so happy to be proved wrong. It's a great device, but not for me anymore.

But, I don't want to confuse issues. 😊

Where are you. If you are local to have a go on different devices then that helps

The main line system seemed to work well with 2 oval biners, although the 13mm gecko isn't freely moving and fair leading even at 20' up, but still was easier and more efficient than a prussik / blakes, especially on descent.

I was having issues with the lanyard though, with the distel and prussik not biting without a little encouragement - obviously caught me out at first and doesn't fill me with confidence ;).

I wonder if it's the cheap ISC camp pulley as I never had the issue with the pinto. Anyone else experienced it?
