Is that an Alphine tractor on the Balfor saw Silky?

Beau the magik was great but It was slow at times particularly when sap built up along the guide rails. Much better this way but you have to be careful.

Been splitting Ash for the last few days with the trusty splitting axe it was full of nails and killed 3 chains when we cut it down, It will burn lovely on my wood burners.

You will get a bit of scapegoat back aswell when you clear the ash tray then!! And it's always nice to see a lovely clean concreted yard, not that I or any of the other lads on here would be jealous or anything ; )

Yesterday's session. 12month seasoned hardwood, lots of small stuff and awkward big bits so it was slow going but it's helping me get used to the Tajfun which can't be a bad thing! Sorely need a log deck making if I'm going to be working on my own though. Got lots of steel about though so just need time to make it.

can't call them seasoned looking at what's left in the stack you will have some timber in there that's 35 40%mc

They've been sat seasoning for 12 months I meant. Vast majority is below 25%mc just the oak and ash lumps that aren't. It's all going in the kiln anyway. Soon evens out. [emoji846]

I only had one tractor today so we had to resort to running the splitter with our old massey. We had to give each log a few pushes but it worked surprisingly well.
