Yep more contract work. Was dead for months but now quite busy. The view is the north of Dartmoor near Sticklpath. How you getting on down in your woods?

Very well thanks. I have about 50 ibc's ready and seasoned for this Autumn/winter period and about 50 cubes of sawn logs ready for splitting and seasoning as soon as cages become available. Well ahead for once. Glad your contract processing is going well for you.

I was breaking up old pallets at the weekend for firewood

 

In all honesty pallet wood burns with a cheery flame and is roaring after 5 minutes It also adds a touch of class to any hearth.

Burns really hot as well so best to keep an eye on your stove, can quickly overheat!

Been splitting oversized oak and ash for biomass today. 15 tons up to 3ft diameter and only one blockage so a nice day.

Real world logs being processed there Beau. Very versatile machine. I like the way the splitting chamber doesn't auto split with every cut, enabling you to use the chamber for stock piling, sorting and a bit of hand activated splitting on the smaller stuff.

Getting back on with logs I've had piled up sine the start of the year, just want it out of the way now, as for processing with me dalen2054 I haven't used it in like 3weeks as haven't has the wood to put through it, literally been all 2ft rings I've got to split!!
