Hi mate, it's an 076 (slow but sure), yep still got that cherry I was wondering how to go about it today as it goes, how'd you get on with those burrs?

 

 

Still at the wood turners. Need to chase him up. AGAIN!

That cherry must be hiding some very nice wood. Not sure how you would attack it to get the best results

I've had my alaskan mill for about 15 years or so and its done a serious amount of logs in that time. I might get one in a couple of months time for my 88 to give it a try out. Be interesting to compare them side by side and see if the copy lives up to the build quality of the original. One thing I would start off with is replacing all the thumscrews with lock nuts. Due to the vibration they will soon work their way loose and get lost in the dust.
