Aspen

It would be great if Aspen were to be subsidised, but to be honest the subject of Aspen (or any alkylate) does not even show on the governments radar yet in the UK.

Nobody makes a killing from Aspen, neither the manufacturers, importers or dealers. It is an expensive product to produce, bottle, store and distribute, and the profit margins are pretty low, so very little room for discounting.

On the plus side, there have been no price increases for several years.

Hello all,

Please keep checking our dealer map as we are adding more dealers all the time.

Many dealers are coming to us as they want to stock Aspen as they are seeing so many fuel problems.

More and more pro users are finding where Aspen can benefit their business and how they can work Aspen into the costs of running their companies.

If you have any questions please contact us though our website or by phone.

My direct number is 07568108953 or email [email protected]

Thank you for your support.

  • 2 weeks later...

Sometimes i dont run my saws every month, but keep the same fuel in them and away we go when i next need them. Now i quite like the idea of aspen, as i could also use it in the strimmers etc which get a lot of use in the summer, but it is the cost that puts me off.

Now in the old days i used to use redex additive in my old cars, could this also be used in my saws / strimmers ?

Also do the saws need setting up different to run on aspen and what about if i decided to try aspen then go back to petrol or just keep flitting between them both.

cheers.

Hi Harvey,

If your equipment is in good working order there is no reason it shouldnt run on Aspen. You may need to adjust the low speed mixture screw (slightly richer) slightly and adjust the idle to suit.

going from one fuel to another is not a problem (just dont forget to add your own oil when going back to pump fuel)

I can't vouch for any additives, but if there was a magic additive on the market which gave the same benefits as Aspen then i wouldnt be here writing today!. You have to remember that when you use fuel additives you are adding even more harmful/toxic chemicals to your fuel. A lot of which you will breath in during your working day as unburnt fuel vapour in your machines exhaust emissions.

When run on Aspen, machines emit 99% less hazardous hydrocarbon emissions. This is why so many people around the world (and on arbtalk ) notice great health improvements after making the switch.

Hi Jon,

I will only be at main Arb shows this year as we now have so many dealers.

We want to offer the dealers more support so they can pass their knowledge and Aspen facts on to the end user.

Everyone can still contact me direct by phone 07568108953 or email Email [email protected]
