Here goes! Being a born again wood turner here are my offerings of wood I have milled myself: First picture is Yew, second is Burr Elm (Big J), and finally is Spalted Holly. More to follow - must get myself a kiln!

Lovely to see the Burr Elm turned there Brian. It must be the most travelled piece of British timber to still reside within the UK (huge parcel delivery company cock up).

Been away for a week but did manage to make a new side gate between the downpours before I went! The gate is made of green Oak, I did however plane it before I made it. Bolts have now been cut and capped over.:001_tongue:

Did some big vandal proof benches to go in a bird hide last weekend. A group of local volunteers are going to move and install them! Good luck I say. The wood is cedar.

Just got back from doing a greenheart fence for me brother...

 

 

Lot of work but happy with how it went. Took a long old time from start to finish - 5 days for two people including all the milling.
