We are all talking about the same thing, I can only speak from my experience (not as wide as yours in this matter) All the tree contract work I carried out was answerable to the main contractor, Sir Alfred mcAlpine, they ran the show, they ran the courses in UXB ident, they ran all the site as far as we were concerned. This may, or may not, have been passed to them from the companies you mention, but I had no paperwork to this effect. No one is saying you are wrong, and I certainly have no ambition to thunder your 'knowledge' into the ground "as per usual" as this would serve absolutely no purpose, so chill out a little, and have a beer:001_rolleyes:

McAlpines won the contract to build the new barracks in Colchester and Woodbridge. They were responsible for all aspects of the site until the site was handed over on completion to the MOD, from then on Sodexho, Landmarc and Atkins defence. These sites are rented by the MOD from a group of independent or private financiers.I know of a couple of companies who are contracted in specifically for the tree work. Landsure to the grounds maintenance.

Other parts of the country are run slightly different and may indeed have different contractors, ie Carrillion or BAE.

Hope this helps?

its also the vehicle maurice wilks based the prototype land rover on except he put in central steering so it could be sold anywhere in the world without having to have two jigs for the steering position.

And it was built and tested just down the road from me:001_smile:
