alrite lewis, 8mm will probably work better on 11mm, if its for your tachyon i've got a few different types of chord in my bag you can try on monday :thumbup1:

ive found that both work just fine on 11mm, comes down to prefferance really. 8mm feels a bit nicer to use with my tachyon, but i read somewhere that 10mm lasts longer due to having a larger surface area to disperse the friction heat over. maybe complete bs, but either way.
