    next show ?

apf i think is in the next month or two? it was around this time of year last year. edit, think it may be a bi-annual event though. as website says its this week, but 2010...
  12. ive found that both work just fine on 11mm, comes down to prefferance really. 8mm feels a bit nicer to use with my tachyon, but i read somewhere that 10mm lasts longer due to having a larger surface area to disperse the friction heat over. maybe complete bs, but either way. Have a play with both!
  13. Alright Steve? yes, enjoying the time off alot!

I know what you mean about the Ocean polyester, im only having trouble with it when its tied in a VT, so have pretty much given up with it as it only bites half the time and feels pretty dodgy.

Have given it a bash tied in a 'knut'? and that seems to work alot more consistently, any experience with this knot?

Think james has some therma shield knocking around, so ill nab that and give it a test!

    Cheers for the advice!

  14. Could do with some tips here, I have recently been trying different systems, and settled for a blakes and micro pulley for a while. Ive now just picked up a hitchclimber, some oval karabs and some Ocean polyester with the intention of using a VT-hitchclimber set up. The problem im having is getting the Ocean polyester to get a consistent bite on the climbing line! Im using 11mm Tachyon and 10mm Ocean polyester, and have tried numerous variations of the VT, alternating numbers of wraps and braids... Is there something im missing? or do i just need to keep working on it, tuning it till it works more consistently? I have managed to get it set up perfectly with some Beal hitch cord which is alot softer/flexible. Could it be because the Ocean polyester is brand new and stiff?
  15. Climbed in the scarpa's today, very nice to climb in. Compared to other boots i have climbed in, steelies and haix chainsaw boots, these are much more comfortable, very lightweight and have superb grip, even in the pissing rain with slippery branches like today. Didnt get a chance to do any proper footlocking, but i can imagine them being ideal. Overall a great boot, but a touch pricey if you only plan to use them for tree climbing.
  16. ordered myself some scarpa's this week from honeybros, recieved them today, and did a good 6 miles of walking in them. Should have a chance to climb in them next week but from wearing them in today, I can see them being pretty damn good for it. Dunno what people are on about not being able to walk in them, they are designed as a walking/scrambling boot. I plan to wear them on a trip to brecon beacons and snowdonia, so we shal see how my feet fair after that
  17. I think the adverts are set at minutes of playback, rather than number of songs. But i seem to get about 10 songs of average length between each 30 or 60 second advert And not sure what you mean by the playlists... Cant complain for a completely free program.
  18. Been using this for a little while now, its pretty awesome. Used to be an itunes user due to listening to majority of music off my laptop but this is immense, okay they can sometimes be a be slow putting new music on here, but its still an amazing program. Highly reccomended.
  19. biggest size they have in stock is 6.5
  20. Had a good ganders at these at the AA showand they looked quite similar to Meindl Airstreams. If i remember right, they seemed massive, like really beefy boots! Chainsaw boots - Kima Air Zermatt - These the ones?
  21. If anyone cares, treeworker got back to me. Products are from a company called 'Keela', not too far off bob! seem pretty reasonabley priced too for the type of clothing.
  22. 23. Cheers guys, Joe, i dont think it was the bosky stuff, this was more like wet weather/hiking/outdoor clothing
  24. Not sure if anyone would know, but... Treeworker were selling some outdoor clothing, trousers and jackets sort of thing next to their rope tent. Ive looked online and cant seem to find any of these products on their website. Can anyone remember the brand name of the clothing? or know where i can get hold of these items? Ive sent treeworker an email, but thought id post here too.
  25. How could anyone miss this thing, it was right next to the entrance/exit! tactical publicity parking....
