Cheap used top handle wanted

as the title says I'm looking for a cheap top handle for occasional use. I don't do much climbing, and have a number of small saws for light work, but have a real hankering for a top handle. I have a couple of small but awkward jobs coming up and reckon a one hander might save me some time. I can't justify buying a new one, and 200t's go for a couple of hundred quid and are usually trashed. Has anyone got a cheaper but still reputable make like an echo or tanaka top handle kicking about that they would part with? :blushing:

You can buy a brand new Ecco top handle with a 14" bar for around £200... For that you will get a warrenty and not a bad little top handle saw....especially if you not going to hammer it every day...makes sense to buy new if you can...you will be looking at paying £200 and more for like you say a second hand topper which has been hammered.

That should have said EFCO.be for anyone picks up on it...can't buy and Eco for £200...other wise I would have a couple.

Yup, buy the Echo. They really are quite good! Once run in, they are very very close to a 200T. The plastic casing does look really cheap and nasty but they don't seem to break and the mechanics are faultless.

I've has a 201T and the new Husky, I was very pleased to get rid of them both! Although the Echo is not perfect, it is quite adequate and outperforms the new Stihl and Husky I had. I will buy another!

I would doubt you could buy an Efco top handle for £200, they seem to run around the £350 A Mitox or other Chinese produced saw would be sub £200

You can buy a new EFCOFor £206 plus £25 delivery total £231...just slightly more then £200 I agree.
