Have you got a time frame in mind for finishing it or is it just a when its done project ?

I did foolishly set a work site date but we missed that so i gave up on a date. I have had it out just to lift stems down but thats probably 4 occasions so far.

Not 100% worried as it was bought outright for the risk of overrun alone. In hindsight its probably the better way to do it this way as i have time to think and ponder on how i want it done and i can do everything now hence why were replacing seals, all the air lines, hydralic lines and anything that looks like its got less than a year before it needs replacing.

But all in its not hugely more expensive than an LGV on parts. A few bits are very expensive but hey ho its a specialist piece of kit.

Not sure thats a merc original, can the cab move independently to the silencer box??

Yeah it has a coned joint just below the cab door. So it just lifts out, quite snug fitting but that's better than rattling around loose I guess. It's off a u1300 Atkinson Vos sorted the box and some of the pipe but we had to sort a bit of a custom job underneath with some new exhaust pipe sections.
