Is there a non cat exhaust that will go on the ea5000 and is there really much benefit in going that route? The videos I have seen of the ea5000/5105 seem lke they have plenty of go in them as standard.

There is.

There is a factory made one available or you can remove it yourself, it's not hard and requires no special tools.

It makes a fair difference, in performance plus the cat weighs a ton!

It is true that the 5105 runs very strong with out a "Kitty Kill" .

As has been said above ...plus i will add that the none cat muffler = "Much" less heat held in front of the cylinder.

You can get a direct replacement non cat muffler for the EA5000 the part number is the same for Dolmar/ makita 181.174.102

The only problem with this muffler is the outlet is on the top and the back of the outlet isn't closed down 100% so some soot will come backwards it's an easy fix with a smaller punch and hammer

Or I can do an exchange 5105 muffler already gutted out and you send me the restricted muffler back in the post

Photo below is the OEM normal mufffler

The saw is brand new, so a little worried in sending you the standard in case it needs to go back on to preserve the warranty. How much are the standard ones and in your opinion does it make a big difference?

Is there a standard zorst for the 7900/price?

There's two different covers and some part numbers have been updated but the numbers pointing to the drawing are still in use

As and when delivery I won't know until I go and place the quote or if there in stock

Thanks

Andrew
