I once paid for an old ladies shopping in the supermarket. She has forgot her purse was getting in a right old fluster. It was only £25 or something. She insisted on taking my address to send me the money but I said it was fine and told her to put the money in a charity box one day if she really wanted.

Its good to do a good deed Jon, I had the oil level light on halfway up France in the middle of the night, got to a petrol station but it was fuel only unmanned, so I asked this lady if there was somewhere I could get some oil, 50k to the nearest, so as I was phoning the AA she went back home and brought me a gallon can from her garage, and wouldnt take a penny for it.

Havent said a bad thing about the French since (ish)
