Hi folks,

Recently got a swivel to attach to the harness bridge. Trying to work out it leaving the original ring on the bridge would have its benefits?

Any advice, pro's / cons to having two connections on the bridge. The only thing I can see so far is which ever side the ring is left on, the main connection point (the swivel) wont go the right to the end if that makes sense.

Many thanks,

Joel

Hi joell,Ive had the same conundrum myself, ive put a swivel on my treemotion bridge and left the ring on.It just my preference and gives you the option to use the ring if the swivel isnt required.

To be honest you could go both ways with this ring on or not its personal preference really.

As for the ring not goin to the right,i dont quite understand your point mate:confused1:

I guess he means that the original ring is taking up space on the bridge which means the swivel has less available space on whatever side the ring is on. e.g original ring on the right of the swivel = swivel can't travel to the very end of the bridge.

I would have though it doesn't make a great deal of difference as he's probably only loosing about 1/2" of space on the bridge.

Doesn't make a difference, but the metal on metal clinking would annoy me personally

Very true, ive worked with a guy with a treehog harness with 2 rings on the bridge and the clinking is very annoying!

No difference but I have 2 on mine after getting a swivel I keep both just when I occasionally use 2 lines.

I'm soon changing to a 2015 petzl sequoia with a round rope bridge and going to use a hitch climber on the bridge.

The only thing I don't like about the rock exotica one is the rubber in the attachment holes stops me putting my dmm krabs through and I already have a hitch climber.
