The wind was about 35 degrees, gusting up to 45 degrees.

If you dont know what a 45 degree wind is, you've never worked in one!

At least thse hybrids are nicer than Manchester Pop.

Nice work, tight spot. I would carve the fingernails in the direction of the farmer, and put up a sign saying 'here's what we think of your deal'

Good job Peter, i was once told by an old school climber that if your ropes going at a permenant 45 degree angle its time to get down!!

Out of intrest do you take any height out as soon as possible when its blowing like that? Or is it just me being a wuss.

I like to get some weight off the rigging point, not generally too bothered about anything else. That tree had stood in that exposed windy spot for at least 50 years, so I reckon it was probably used to it!

well done peter, what a crap drag, the tiny chipper will go where a wheely bin goes, if it is a tight right hander then take off the hopper, as i said before 5 monster armfulls is a wheely bin, and that pop would of flown through it, but you work with what you have mate. proper job. 2 fingered pollarding rules.
