chain too short?

Ive just struggled for ages trying to get a new chain on the 660 - is it just me or is the bar sitting a bit close to the sprocket?

 

its not touching - but only a mm or two clearance.

That looks a Weeeee bit tight to me! think it might be a link or two shorter than supposed to be.

As has been said..link count. Stihl bar should have that printed on the side if you can make it out.

Are you running the standard 7 pin sprocket ? If so I would say there is one too many drivers ( as others have said )
