I line up the chainsaw handle with the end of the log. All constant (ish) lengths of around 8"

I have done that the last couple of years but am now finding it slightly to big for many of my newer customers.

Just buy a smaller saw. Problem solved

Does anyone make a bigger version of the Portek Logmaster?.... something that will handle much bigger logs.... up to about 18" diameter.

I'm wanting to make lots of end grain blocks out of oak, for our barn floor; so I'm looking to get them fairly accurate.

I've got an Alaskan vertical mini mill thing.... maybe could modify something for that? (for accurate cross cutting).

Cheers, Steve
