Well Deffo something for the "if I ever win the lottery list" I can remember them when I was a young lad, the horses would get fidgety about a minute before we could even hear them, it was awe inspiring to have one fly near by let alone over head that was late 70s early 80s never heard anything to compare with the sound of them at full pelt....

Dad was a V pilot. He showed the Vulcan lads about air to air re-fuelling in 1980's. They could not believe what Victor people had been doing for years!!!!

As a kid in the late 60's I often saw the White Vulcan with the prototype Concorde engine flying over my village in Somerset.

It was just one Olympus strapped under the bomb bay of the Vulcan and had a better noise even than the standard Vulcan.

I live just down the road from Sywell and was tipping of the van when they flew over with guy following in the plane. Did't realise what was happening or the significance.

Took a cheeky snap anyway
