Just a quicky John, do you go out on your own to call outs or do you call someone to go with you ?

 

Depends what where and when and if it's a policy attendance or if nycc staff are on site to control any traffic, wouldn't Want to be on own in middle of nowhere and something happens. Got a few local lads who are quite happy to get a call and jump in to help and if I'm not available a friend who has his own business is often available and just do a swapsy where he gets my cherrypicker for a day or something like that

A few 300 Yeh I do egg as it's easy money a lot of the time and if it's that bad we can't sort it easily or safely we go back in daylight and charge accordingly. I invest the call out money back into new kit as it's basically an extra which wasn't budgeted for and sometimes means we can get something which otherwise would have been seen as a bit of a luxury.
