Dolmar PS-9010 and Echo CS-8002 are both absolutely indestructible; probably the most over-engineered saws in production. Everything about the 8002 is magnesium and the 9010 is similar; you aren't going to break either in a hurry.

Felling dog on 8002 is a let down - too small and needs an outboard one - not standard.

Definitely agree on the felling dog, really should be double dogs on it but as for breaking it I happen to know if it is dropped 40' out of a big beech & lands on a road then you can break the plastic thumbscrew on the air filter cover, everything else will survive completely unscathed but that thumbscrew is quite vulnerable in that specific situation. Can't comment on how I know this as obviously I would never be stupid enough to unhook it from my harness whilst trying to get into a tricky work position.

Just a quick post to say we are now an official Echo dealer and will be getting some machine in early next week

Only a small selection of saws (helped chosen by yourselves so a big thanks for that) for now that we can build on.

Thanks again for the input.

Just a quick question as to what machines from the current range people are buying/using.

We dont have any experience in using the Echo range so we would really appreciate any input into what works well.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks:thumbup1:

Barry only started getting the info on the site today so it will take a few days before we have them all on there(well the ones we are stocking)

No small one yet, its on order but no stock until feb sometime, the CS-360TES, CS-390ESX, CS-510sx(i think its that model number) CS-620SX and one of the cheapest ones.

Sorry, not up to speed on the model numbers yet in fact it was only this morning that the rep called round to place the order.

Will also be stocking the echo two stroke oil and spare parts. Hedge trimmers, blowers etc at a later date.

That new echo topper (think it's a 270tes someone correct me if I'm wrong) could be a good seller, I'm soon to be purchasing one 👍🏼

Congratulations with the new dealer status, they are in my opinion the best pro saws out there just on reliability and ease of tuning.

The little 390 is a little ripper, stunning saw, much like the old ms200 rear handle was from stihl.
