Red diesel - HSS

Found myself in a HSS today and there was an ad for red diesel. They sell it in 20 litre plastic containers. £24 plus VAT!?! Can't imagine they sell many of those.

You would be surprised. We used to supply Speedy Hire with gas oil in 20 litre containers. They used to get through about 10 - 15 pallets a week. 40 x 20 litre cans to a pallet.

Shame we lost the contract to EMO oils.

Maybe big corporate customers and the lads on the ground just grab what they need with asking the price.

Thing is if you had pre filled cans of DERV it would be much more expensive. By the time you have factored in the price of the can and the cost of man hours to fill them.

Pre filled containers will always be expensive.

I get a bill for waste water from Portsmouth Water and a bill for supply from Southern Water .Our dogs are the same colour
