The 1.9 engine is the best one as far i'm concerned. I had a C15 van with that engine for ten years and the engine never missed a beat despite being worked hard. I now have the new shape berlingo multispace and it again is a brilliant car. If i was in the market for another van it would be berlingo all the way.

Mine's coming up on 160K miles, 2000 reg and is only just starting to have a few niggles, but nothing that breaks the bank. At 40K it's only just run in! (and it regularly tows a TW190, mobile mill etc). Excellent little van.

Only fault is it could do with being 6" longer load space for me, but for cleaning gear it will be fine. :) :)

We have a 2.0hdi 2003 Berlingo car and it's handy. I had a go in a 1.9 and found it a bit slow and they are heavier on fuel than the turbo version but more reliable apparently.
