You just need to wire them in parallel (not series), so all the positives and all the negatives go together.

 

You also need to make sure all cables used are rated to take the current and the fuse is of the right size

I was told that my next machine is getting Nordic lights fitted, so googled them and they do a pretty fair range!

I don't know which model exactly, but they do look quality products.

Time to upgrade 14 x Halogen cab lights and 4 x Halogen Crane/Head lights to LED.

 

I rang John Deere who were keen to sell me 18 x unspecified lumens output JD "approved" work lamps @ £235/ea

 

Rang Clarkes who very honourably suggested by the time I'd bought 14 x £135 570 Lumens output lamps, LED technology would have moved on and I'd be out of date in light output!

 

Spoke to Sparex; 1150 lumens @ £18/ea so bang for buck appears to be improving dramatically.

 

Now ebay - thousands of the things for sale; all wonderful prices!

 

Any advice?!

Hi Jon, the 2 led light bars arrived this morning. They look good quality for the money but I'll have to wait to see what the light power is like when it gets dark. I was a little disappointed that they can't be wired up so the flood and spot lights can be used independently. They only have 2 wires so it's all lights on together.

There was a slip of paper in with them saying in future, go to Voilamart and use the voucher code VOILAMART8OFF to save 8%.

I just tried it and for some reason it's all in Australian dollars but it's still free shipping to the UK. I tried it for a 42" light bar and the total was $112au which is £52! Great savings over eBay!

I'm still building my truck Jon. I hooked one up to a battery and shone it up the garden.... It was like daylight! 😆
