I would imagine removing the barrier would open an H&S can of worms as would trying to use ramps, skids etc roadside. We have always used a hijab on any kit that needs to go the other side of the barrier. There is normally Tm about on these jobs and the sneaky feckers love to report back anything untoward.

At least if you're wearing a hijab they won't be able to tell who did it.

Thats either fat fingers or Ipad changing the words.:blushing: Probably fat fingers, no its the Ipad I just checked it.

Those armco barriers are actually under tension. I mate was pollarding some limes next to a dual carriageway once, and decided to save time to simply top the tree with all the branches still on. When it hit the barrierr, it bent it, all the bolts snapped, and it was left loose.

inspector turns up, cost them 5 grand to have it repaired!!

im assuming your on highways work ??

when we used to do a lot of it , the local depot would send a truck out ,built in compressor job and take a section out. we put chipper in they put it back.

I wouldn't try doing it your self , as mentioned im sure it does require some training , its a safety barrier after all ......correct torque settings and if I recall correctly hade to have new nuts and bolts every time
