no.they have a barrel lock and a ball that you push up inside the coupling when its unhitched. You have to drill it out first to steal it a pry bar will do nothing

 

Fit an indespension triple lock if you want to be safe. They have a barrel lock, with a spring behind it. drills dont like springs, and when I had my trailer nicked with the key and I recovered it, I had to drill the lock so I could hitch it back up. An hour later and several snapped drills, job done!!

 

If I was going to steal a trailer, one without a barrel lock would get my attention!!

And it's always locked to truck behind a locked gate when I leave it somewhere

So what do the ifors have?

Never looked at one that closely.

They have a very basic lock that locks the handle so you cannot lift it, and a key that never works properly

That sounds like that lock on my small trailer. I've never had a bothered locking it as its only ever used in jobs that are either secure gated houses or when I'm fetching or taking something somewhere
