Husqvarna combi cans

Having purchased a Husqvarna combi can at the Arb show in the summer and have not been overly used, the spouts on my combi can are starting to stick open (just like the old designs did). I know of someone else starting to have same problem. Has anyone else started to have the same problem with theirs?

Pump fuel or aspen?

I'm on Aspen and had no bother with mine, a mate is on pump fuel and has had sticking spouts.

Pump petrol with Stihl HP mix and good quality chain oil (not bio). Both are starting to stick

Never used the 1 on the oil as kept it as a spare for fuel but never needed it.

Could the fuel have degraded the seals so making it stick a bit

one is mine and the other is the lad who works for me and both are doing the same thing? Not sure why they have started doing it?

You'd think petrol had acid in it the way some people seem to think these days! A fuel can a few months old couldn't have degraded due to a petrol surely! I've got cans years old that don't have a problem, this is just a design/ build quality issue

Yup, I've seen two husky fuel can spouts stick as well (two separate owners). Both are on good quality forecourt fuel. I expect mine will do the same too.

 

Is anybody else tiring from poorly designed products from all of the leading manufacturers (in and outside of arborculture)?

Mine dose the same and it's not overly old yet fill up with pump fuel and stihl Hp two stroke oil but it has been left a few months over harvest not being used

One of mine sticks, very annoying. All 3 leak oil from around the cap,

 

Very poor considering how long it took them to come out!
