Towing a chipper behind a trailer?!

You can do it behind a tractor so long as the trailer is unladen and the overall length is within a certain limit.

 

You can tow with loaded trailer as well.

unless the law has changed in the last couple of years a tractor can tow 2 trailers un landed but only 1 landed when they used to tow a artic trailer with a dolly it is classed as 2 trailers

I thought VOSA had killed the dolly off with only manufactured 4 wheel trailers being allowed on the road now.

Anything can tow two trailers as long as the whole shebang conforms to construction and uses. Overall legal length would probably be a major consideration. I remember a letter written to Vosa on a landy forum posing this very question and this was their reply.

As you can see not every vehicle can tow a trailer never mind two of them.

 

Tractors can tow two trailers if they are both unladen or one trailer (does not specify unladen so laden is ok) & one implement or two implements.
