Why not make it into some simple garden furniture yourself John - simple bench, pergola etc - I'm sure the additional work would be more than recompensed in both a wider market and better prices?

where are you and how long are the beams?

if you paid £1000 work out how many ft3 you have milled and add your time in to it+ maintenance of saws etc and try to work out a price that will at least break even.

the furniture route is a good idea.

Thanks for the advice guys, really appreciate it. I could easily knock up some furniture but it doesn't really solve the issue of the worm. I could treat all the timber but according to my research online treating it won't kill the woodworm

That are in it now and as it dries they will probably become less active anyway

As I remember, the woodworm holes you see are flight holes, i.e. the worm has left the wood leaving those holes as it goes. So it may not get any worse?

Unless more woodworm move in!

I don't think I will break even this time. I don't think I can check every piece to see if there are woodworm still in there so I will just sell it as cheap as I have to to shift it. Obviously stating the defects.

Thanks guys
