I do indeed have one to sell, as I will be shifting brands. Not that there is anything wrong with Echo, quite the opposite, its brilliant.

But we are only a small dealer and do not have, or want, a direct account with Echo. This means we buy from a distributor, but of course we don't get such good terms as for instance R&T. So we find some main dealers advertising end user prices less than we can buy for.

As we like to make some money on our sales we just cannot compete with likes of the dealer mentioned, so this last machine in stock will be price matched to the price mentioned, but will have to be collected from our shop.

We are seriously considering selling the new Solo product instead. As it is part of ALKO we can buy at top terms as we are already a direct account.

Very true this is the same with a certain other leading brand, you can pick a chainsaw do some research around the country and the difference in prices is unbelievable and again usualy it's for sale the same or cheaper than you can purchase it :thumbup:

No doubt 365, the Echo tends to be "hyped up" a lot by some people, just because Echo finally came up with a somewhat decent saw (it really is a Shindaiwa, but the brands were merged a while ago).

If the 365 is the current 71cc X-torq, there is a substantial power difference, but the 60cc Echo is a little lighter - if you step down to 60cc, the 560xp is a much better option than that Echo though, more power and less weigh + a lot more.

Same excrement, different day. :001_rolleyes:

BTW, 620 doesn't have that much Shin influence so you can stop fabricating that idea too.

Buy a 560; on STs recommendation.

Sawtroll - have you got product liability insurance? About time a lawsuit was filed for your duff advice.

:lol: You tend to make my day!

Your post really is a personal attack though, and you need to stop doing that.

Yeah it is. I've taken your hatred of Echo and Dolmar very personally. As someone else said, you've no conscience whatsoever about recommending someone a saw that will let them down and cost them a lot of money which might wind up as them struggling to feed their family.

Broke cutter takes a chance on a 560xp because of your recommendation; likelyhood of saw malfunction statistically greater than any other model. Cutter up the creek.

Hate is a way too strong word, I don't hate any chainsaw that works (unless it is a Chinese scam saw).

Pointing out that there are better options around is very different from hate - but I am quite tiered of reading hype about the Echo saw from small groups of people that seems "desperate" about it.

The same is the case with the 50 and 60cc Dolmar saws, but to a lesser degree.

And you can't see we feel the same about husqvarna's? 550 and particularly 560xp. When folk question you about your cutting experience and these saws reliability record the silence is deafening.

My 2 560xp have been pretty faultless and one is 3 yrs old, in fact they have been far better than my stihl 261 that is utter crap.

I also have a 50cc dolly and that is a lovely saw .

What problems have you had with the 261? I'm dreading the day I have to replace my 260!! Which is an amazing saw!!
