todays job

a job we done today a week ago we knocked out the crown and today we had the crane in to remove the chunky stuff. all round good day apart from the odd heavy thunder storm and lots of chainsaw killing metal chains bolts and not forgetting the stones burried in the timber. nukeing a spanking new chain on the 066 :001_rolleyes:

the client delt with the crane hire think he got it for £400 for the day.

 

the client got the crane in to minimize damage and the folks across the way wanted the timber so crane was ideal no humping timber. just drop it out the sky in to the garden because of this the crane had to go full reach so we had to drop the timber in the clients driveway cut it up into one ton pieces then fly it over into the neighbouring garden. between doing this and killing a couple of chains it took most of the day no damage client happy and considering niether me or the crane driver had ever done this before every thing went great.:thumbup1:

great job mate . what are hewdens like for charging when it comes to cranes ??

 

Never mind that.....C+H in wadebridge really are worth a try, even down your end of the county i should've thought- they do the insurance and they are experienced in tree work.:thumbup1:

the crown was dead as a dead thing for about two years due to some planting a great big garage under it so limbs had falling in the winds got to expect some damage on our part to but yeah caught out in that pics lol:tongue_smilie:

If you look at that piece carefully, you can see its a dead piece thats snapped. Even with the best will in the world, a very dead top can be difficult to get down with zero damage. Although craning the tops out gently would have probably given a 'no damage' result, it takes quite a bit of experiance to do so.
