We never work on conifers...... Only 90% or so might be conifers this was the best one last year!

Ha ha you gotta love that  fell and re-plant or fell and nice new fence is my motto

Nice tidy job, my first thought on a hedge like that is "can the client see the top?"

Many years ago I did a priced a similar thing, when I climbed up I realised the previous guy (a do as you likey according to the client) had carefully laid down the majority of the 2 metre sections along the top.

Half way through the client said to us ideally id love to get rid of them and put a fence there! Why get us to retop them i have no idea they were lethal we retoped them at the same height they were done before this pic gives a picture of how long they have been left! Only shows a very small part of the whole hedge.

By the way, that's what I thought.

It would have been half the price for him aswell we could have just smashed them all over in oners apart from a few over the summer house and taken half the time if not less than half the time but then he would have had to pay for a fence and stump grinding ahh well i wont be going back there for a good few years now!

I was thinking the exact same question as I was battling my way through topping a connie hedge today getting caught on every s***y dead branch can't beat picking connie out your a**e crack for days after 😀

Battling through a Spikey hole ridden Connie hedge is like a rite of passage...puts hairs on your chest....and rips in your hi-flex.

You're not kidding there, we call Connie hedge reductions "trouser wreckers"
