Unless it is a new treemotion.

 

Unless I am mistaken the tool ring at the back is now Green and rated for life support. Could be a problem on bigger saws with no direct attachment point apart from the handle. Also a large saw it more likely to be taken with falling timber.

 

 

Not mistaken :) It is PPE rated.

That's good, as we put an apprentice in one and hauled him up in the air by his arse on the rigging line.

 

I am glad we used the correctly rated attachment point. ;)

Seems to me to be a lot of reinventing the wheel in this thread. ;)

 

Why no just place a krab to the lanyard and the clip that to the attachment point on the saw. Still has a breakaway facility and you can clip the krab into the carytool.

Mark try using the lanyard/chainsaw strop on opposite sides of harness.

Already got my strop on the left mate.

Took a while to get used to but it was a right clusterflop when I had both on the right!

Moving my strop to the left side was one of the best moves ever, simple but effective, I use an old carabiner with a sticky gate as a Caritool can have it open or shut depending what s needed
