The main thing about scotland is that there arent many scottish competitors, so its mostly all the same english and welsh guys, but they have to travel much further to get there!

Thats very true, but the first few TCCs in Scotland were mainly attented by Scottish or Scottish based climbers. Its a mystery to me why more Scottish climbers never competed in the last TCCs, particularly Perth(twice) and Edinburgh.

I just dont get it. There are hundreds of great climbers working in Scotland.

Something has gone wrong somewhere. Maybe it should be a lesson to everyone else as to how things like that can fall apart.

Or maybe Scottish climbers dont see the value in the TCCs, which is disappointing as its a great place for novice climbers to see expert climbers in full flow and learn a few techniques.

Disappointing to see there is no Scottish Open for the second year running. I guess these things are transient, depends on whose around and whose available right?

running a TCC is a lot of work, 100% more work before, than just on the day which is all people see, i guess that there's no one around with that sort of time and more importantly intrest, sad really as they were always good fun:cheers:
